Makeup of the day

It's a hot one, Ohio!!! Supposed to be an upwards of 93*, with the heat index being over 100*!! So I decided to do a blog post with my "oh my God it's so hot" makeup look. This is what I usually do when I know my face is going to melt off anyways.

I don't have a photo of it but, I usually start with a Nivea SPF facial lotion.

First, I have to mix my foundations.

After I have applied foundation:::

Then, I apply the following:

And, the final product::::

Makeup of the day

Here is my "normal" everyday makeup and the products used.
This is basically what I put on when I am actually doing things outside of my house (ie: going to work, going shopping, going to dinner, etc)::

 Excuse my HUGE face and bushy eyebrows. It's about time to get them waxed again, it's been a month and a day since my free Birthday wax from Ulta.

Products used:
-Warpaint beauty Body Shimmer (used as blush)
-mark Get a Tint tinted moisturizer
-Two Ulta eyeshadow quads (one in purples used for lids, one in browns used for eyebrows)
-Ulta volume mascara
-NYC liquid eyeliner
-Ulta pencil eyeliner
-Maybelline Color Tattoo eyeshadow
-elf Bronzer
-Warpaint beauty lip syrup
-Misc brushes (left for eyes, right for face)

The steps:
I start by using a makeup remover wipe on my face, this is after I have put up my hair and washed my face normally. I do this because the wipes I have make my face feel extra fresh and smoother.
Next, I use my tinted moisturizer all over my face, and down my neck to make sure there isn't a wicked color contrast.
Then, I put a thin dusting of bronzer all over my face and neck as well. Then I top my cheeks off with the body shimmer (I really don't know who would use the Warpaint beauty body shimmer on their body because, the one I have at least, is REALLY pink.)
Next, I dust a little brown color onto my eyebrows to make them more defined.
After that, I use the Color Tattoo eyeshadow as a eyeshadow base. I LOVE these (possible review soon) and it really helps the regular eyeshadow stick and last ALL DAY without needing a touch-up. I put a darker layer on my lid, and gradually lessen it as a go up towards my brow bone.
Then, I place my eyeshadow on top. I start with my crease, then lid, and finally my brow bone. I use the bottom left purple for my crease, top left color for my lid, and top right color for my brow bone.
Next, I do liquid liner, mascara, and finally, pencil liner on my water line.
I finish up my using a fluffy face brush to do extra blending and get rid of any fall out that may have occured. Then apply lip gloss!

And that's it. My basic, everyday look. Pretty easy and I get a lot of compliments on it. c:

Quick summery review/rave

Okay, so. This will be a quick entry, but I wanted to post about this awesome product by Avon/Mark.

For the summer, I don't like using a heavy coverage foundation (although, as you know from my last post, I LOVE my NYC foundation). But, as any other person, I sweat when it's hot, and the added heaviness of most foundations is just unbearable.
So, last year, I bought Mark's Get a Tint tinted moisturizer. And I am in love with it.

The cost is great, only 12 dollars for a 1.6 oz bottle. It comes in 4 different shades (I use Buff/Natural, but I plan on purchasing the Honey/Golden for my more tanned self). It also has an SPF of 15, which is great since you should ALSO keep an SPF on your face to keep from getting early signs of aging!

I have been using Get a Tint in place of foundation for about a week now. And I love it just as much as I did last summer. It's light, but makes my face have a nice, dewy glow. I don't even set with a powder, however sometimes I do use a brozer over-top (since I am a bit darker than the color I have it in right now).

As for the Mark website, it says about this product: "A lightweight, oil-free moisturizer with just enough color to even out your skin tone and give the appearance of a healthy glow. The unique skin-balancing formula hydrates while it helps prevent shine in those spots prone to excess oil."

Anyways, I encourage everyone to try this product if you're in the market for a lighter coverage for the summer.
