Backkkk!
Hey lovely people!
Sorry to anyone who had been following my blog, I haven't posted in forever! I've been without a proper computer, and been so busy with work and trying to have a life! Forgive me! But my best friend asked me about my blog the other day and I'm like yeah I probably should jump back into it!
So today, I have 3 ideas for posts coming your way! The first will be my summer favorites, including all the beauty stuff I've been loving this summer! Since, sadly, it is the LAST day of August today :( However, I am looking forward to Fall colors and fashion!
Next will be my face-of-the-day. I broke out both of my elf pallets, and came up with something really pretty!
And lastly, I'm going to do my How Much Is Your Face tag that's been going around. I'm obviously a little late but oh well!
Look out for those later today!

Makeup of the day
It's a hot one, Ohio!!! Supposed to be an upwards of 93*, with the heat index being over 100*!! So I decided to do a blog post with my "oh my God it's so hot" makeup look. This is what I usually do when I know my face is going to melt off anyways.
I don't have a photo of it but, I usually start with a Nivea SPF facial lotion.
First, I have to mix my foundations.
After I have applied foundation:::

Makeup of the day
Here is my "normal" everyday makeup and the products used.
This is basically what I put on when I am actually doing things outside of my house (ie: going to work, going shopping, going to dinner, etc)::
Excuse my HUGE face and bushy eyebrows. It's about time to get them waxed again, it's been a month and a day since my free Birthday wax from Ulta.
-Warpaint beauty Body Shimmer (used as blush)
-mark Get a Tint tinted moisturizer
-Two Ulta eyeshadow quads (one in purples used for lids, one in browns used for eyebrows)
-Ulta volume mascara
-NYC liquid eyeliner
-Ulta pencil eyeliner
-Maybelline Color Tattoo eyeshadow
-elf Bronzer
-Warpaint beauty lip syrup
-Misc brushes (left for eyes, right for face)
The steps:
I start by using a makeup remover wipe on my face, this is after I have put up my hair and washed my face normally. I do this because the wipes I have make my face feel extra fresh and smoother.
Next, I use my tinted moisturizer all over my face, and down my neck to make sure there isn't a wicked color contrast.
Then, I put a thin dusting of bronzer all over my face and neck as well. Then I top my cheeks off with the body shimmer (I really don't know who would use the Warpaint beauty body shimmer on their body because, the one I have at least, is REALLY pink.)
Next, I dust a little brown color onto my eyebrows to make them more defined.
After that, I use the Color Tattoo eyeshadow as a eyeshadow base. I LOVE these (possible review soon) and it really helps the regular eyeshadow stick and last ALL DAY without needing a touch-up. I put a darker layer on my lid, and gradually lessen it as a go up towards my brow bone.
Then, I place my eyeshadow on top. I start with my crease, then lid, and finally my brow bone. I use the bottom left purple for my crease, top left color for my lid, and top right color for my brow bone.
Next, I do liquid liner, mascara, and finally, pencil liner on my water line.
I finish up my using a fluffy face brush to do extra blending and get rid of any fall out that may have occured. Then apply lip gloss!
And that's it. My basic, everyday look. Pretty easy and I get a lot of compliments on it. c:

Quick summery review/rave
Okay, so. This will be a quick entry, but I wanted to post about this awesome product by Avon/Mark.
For the summer, I don't like using a heavy coverage foundation (although, as you know from my last post, I LOVE my NYC foundation). But, as any other person, I sweat when it's hot, and the added heaviness of most foundations is just unbearable.
So, last year, I bought Mark's Get a Tint tinted moisturizer. And I am in love with it.
The cost is great, only 12 dollars for a 1.6 oz bottle. It comes in 4 different shades (I use Buff/Natural, but I plan on purchasing the Honey/Golden for my more tanned self). It also has an SPF of 15, which is great since you should ALSO keep an SPF on your face to keep from getting early signs of aging!
I have been using Get a Tint in place of foundation for about a week now. And I love it just as much as I did last summer. It's light, but makes my face have a nice, dewy glow. I don't even set with a powder, however sometimes I do use a brozer over-top (since I am a bit darker than the color I have it in right now).
As for the Mark website, it says about this product: "A lightweight, oil-free moisturizer with just enough color to even out your skin tone and give the appearance of a healthy glow. The unique skin-balancing formula hydrates while it helps prevent shine in those spots prone to excess oil."
Anyways, I encourage everyone to try this product if you're in the market for a lighter coverage for the summer.

Let's have a review, shall we?
Okay, I decided my first REAL entry should be something easy and about something I use ALL the time.
So, this will be a review about several NYC [aka NEW YORK COLOR] products. I am getting all of my information about these products from their website- http://www.newyorkcolor.com/
Firstly, I use a ton of NYC products, because they are cheap, well made, and sold at a lot of local stores [Wal*Mart, Target, etc]. Daily, I use their foundation, and liquid eyeliner. I have also tried some of their other products as well.
Let me start with their foundation which is called Smooth Skin Liquid Makeup. Their website says: "A flawless complexion is a must-have in New York. That’s why NYC New York Color Smooth Skin Liquid Makeup leaves you with a smooth finish that lasts all day long. Its lightweight coverage also reduces the appearance of dark circles, fine lines and wrinkles – with the color staying true up to 12 hours."
They have six shades: Ivory, Nude, Barely Beige, Soft beige, Classic Beige, and Deep Beige. I use the shade Barely Beige.
I have been using this foundation for a long while now. They recently changed their bottle, which I don't like, but the formula is the same. The reason I don't like the new bottle is because when you get a new one, you can't get the foundation out! You have to stick a makeup brush [or whatever] down into the bottle to get it started. It stays like that until you use it for a while. Then it will come out on it's own.
Anyways, the formula itself is great. It's totally lightweight, but has great coverage. The color I use matches my skin tone perfectly. If I cover with a bronzer or powder, I don't need to reapply at all throughout the day. I don't even have to worry if I am sweating a lot, because it doesn't streak or completely come off. However, it does come off easilly at night when I am removing my makeup with a washcloth/soap or a makeup wipe.
The second product I use of theirs daily is their liquid eyeliner which they simply call Liquid Eyeliner. I always get Black, but they also have Peralized Black, which I have never tried. The website says: "Ever dreamed of having Audrey Hepburn's glamorous look? NYC New York Color Liquid Eyeliner infuses your eyes with the intensity they crave. This staple liner can do fine or bold lines without the fuss. With its mistake-free applicator, elongate your lash line to shape and define your eyes like never before."
I absoultely LOVE this eyeliner. I have tried a TON of liquid eyeliners for my top lash line, and none can compare to this. The applicator is great, it is just the right size to have complete control over where the eyeliner goes. And the formula is great as well. It's not too watery and not too clumpy. And it lasts a LONG time. I only have to purchase it maybe once every 4 or 5 months, even with using it every day! And the best part is that it dries really quickly, and does not smudge or wipe off during the day.
Now, I have also tried/used some of their other products as well. I have used their Sky Rise Strengthening Mascara, Eyeliner Pencils, Individualeyes Custom Eyeshadow Compact, Sparkle Eye Dust, Smooth Skin Pressed Face Powder, Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder, Color Wheel Mosaic Face Powder, Cheek Glow Blush, and Ultra Moist Lipwear lipstick.
I haven't had any major issues with any of these products, I just don't use them everyday like the other two.
-I am not a total fan of their mascara. I find it too hard to apply, I just didn't like the wand. The formula was good though.
-Their eyeliner pencils aren't the greatest. I have a black and a white one now, but they don't work well on my waterline like I would like them to.
-I love their eyeshadows, I just use my ELF shadows more often. NYC has some GREAT colors though, and the color pay-off is amazing.
-The eye dust is nice, just not very colorful. I have a white one that I use for my brow bone and/or inner corners of my eyes sometimes.
-Their face powders are all nice (including the bronzer), I just can't seem to match my color well. It's either too dark or not dark enough. But I like the powder itself.
-They have really nice blush colors, I just have another that I use daily. Outside Cafe is my favorite color.
-I'm not a big lipstick person, but I have a TON of NYC lipsticks. The formula is very creamy, and they also smell and taste pretty good. The range of colors is amazing as well, something for everyone.
Overall, NYC is probably my favorite and most used makeup brand. I'm sure you will be seeing and/or hearing a lot more about them within this blog.

The start of a blog!!!
Hello all!
So, after I've had a TON of blogs before, I decided to start this one. And it's [hopefully] going to solely be about makeup and fashion, two things I am totally in love with.
I have tried youtubing, and it just doesn't work for me, because I feel weird talking into a camera, and living in a house with 5 other people doesn't leave much room for privacy while taking videos.
So anyways, I guess a little bit about myself to start?
I'm 24 years old. I live in Akron, Ohio [yey?] I am married, and have been since October 29, 2011. I have been with the same man since August of 2004. I don't have any kids [yet]. I have a Bachelor's degree in Political Science/Criminal Justice which I am currently not doing anything with. I have had the same job at a gas station for almost 3 years now. So glamorous, right? It pays the bills though, I suppose.
I don't tend to spend a LOT of money on clothes and beauty products, because I usually buy the same things everytime. I also don't see the point in spending tons of money on makeup because it goes on your face and you wash it off. Lower-end products are just as good in my opinion, and I intend on sharing my thoughts on different items as time goes on.
This blog will be primarily little hauls, reviews, and photo entries. I hope you will follow and give me feedback as to what you'd like to see me do.
